It's been awhile planning. Dam, since 2001! But it's finally coming together. Location? Walnut Creek! Date? Soon!! (keep checking website)
I'm using this site as a "beer blog, vlog" of sorts for now, then it will be switched over to an online beer store in a few months.
You see, I have this crazy passion for beer. I go into this "state". Crazy I am to the norm, Beeries understand me. Currently, I have this crazy banter going on with Rob, a serious hop head, about each Pliny the Elder release. Reviewing each once with crazy fever. "well 1/6 is a little dryer than 12/23, less hempy but has pretty good tangerine notes..... "
Excuse me...Can you pass the Grey Poupon? (Get the tone?)
Well, Let's start the beer/beer bar reviews! Note: Most will be video blogs (vlogs) and they will be un-edited, so what you see is what you get, flubs and all. I'm going to make this as real as I can.
This will be a fun ride and I'm looking forward to it.
Cheers!
Michael

Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.
I'm excited about this one, i've been hearing that this is a true hop bomb. My glass is poured...let the tasting begin!!
Alcohol - 10%
22 ounce bomber - First smell is grapefruit, then the pine picks my nose. The pine resin is sweet and has that warming scotchy bite that I always like in a good hoppy ass beer. The color is but a picture of pleasure. Slight orange outline of the glass with a hazy murkiness in the middle. The alcohol hits you pretty quick, i'm halfway done my pint and i feel a pretty good buzz coming on.
If you like Pliny, Hop stoopid and Green Flash Imperial IPA, you are going to LOVE this beer. I got it from Ed and Ledger Liquirs in Berkeley for $6.00. It looks like I gotta go back and pick me up a half case next week.
REVIEW SCALE (1-10) *8.1 - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
